After Hur Report, Biden Gave Big Reward to Those Who Helped Him with Illegal Classified Docs

In a stark display of favoritism and disregard for consequences, President Joe Biden swiftly promoted two key aides, Annie Tomasini and Richard Ruffner, within a day of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on the president’s mishandling of classified documents. The report found that Biden “willfully retained classified materials after the end of his vice presidency when he was a private citizen,” yet Hur decided not to press charges, citing Biden’s age and poor memory as reasons a jury would be unable to convict him.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Republican Rep. James Comer criticized the promotions, stating, “The Department of Justice has failed to deliver accountability for President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents and now Biden aides involved in the scandal are getting promotions.”

Comer also revealed that the White House is blocking Tomasini’s testimony before the committee, further raising suspicions about the administration’s transparency.

Tomasini, who was promoted to deputy White House chief of staff, was directly implicated in the scandal. The House Oversight Committee cited her visit to the Penn Biden Center “to take inventory of President Biden’s documents and materials,” the same location where classified documents were discovered in November 2022.

Similarly, Ruffner, who filled Tomasini’s vacant position as director of Oval Office operations, spent time as Biden’s personal aide during his years out of office and appeared in Hunter Biden’s email correspondence.

The timing of these promotions, mere hours after the release of Hur’s report, raises serious questions about the administration’s priorities and commitment to accountability. As Comer pointed out, “The American people expect consequences for mishandling of classified information, not rewards.”

The glaring double standard in the treatment of Biden’s case compared to the ongoing prosecution of former President Donald Trump for similar offenses further underscores the deep-rooted corruption within the Biden administration. While Trump faces legal consequences for his actions, Biden not only evades prosecution but also rewards those who were aware of or assisted in his mishandling of classified materials.

As more details emerge about the extent of Biden’s misconduct and the complicity of his aides, it becomes increasingly clear that corruption is a pervasive issue within his administration. The American people deserve transparency, accountability, and equal application of the law, regardless of political affiliation or position of power.
