Scotty McCreery, the renowned country music star, demonstrated exemplary character and swift action during a recent performance at the Colorado State Fair.
As he began his opening song, McCreery’s keen eye caught a disturbing incident in the audience that prompted him to halt the show immediately.
“That’s a lady you just hit, sir!” McCreery called out, addressing a man in the crowd who had allegedly struck a woman. His voice rang with disbelief and anger as he demanded, “Who just hit the lady?” This quick response showcased McCreery’s zero-tolerance policy for violence, especially against women.

McCreery then went on with the show.
Olga Robak, representing the Colorado Department of Agriculture, confirmed the incident. “We can confirm that an incident took place at the Scotty McCreery concert where a man assaulted a woman and the performer stopped the show,” she stated, adding that the matter was under investigation.
McCreery’s actions align perfectly with the values he and his wife, Gabi, hold dear. In a 2019 interview, Gabi highlighted the importance of faith in their relationship.
