Iran Could Build Several Nukes Today—IAEA Says There’s ‘No Proof’ They Will

Iran now has enough nuclear material for multiple bombs, according to the IAEA chief, but insists it isn’t actively building a weapon. As Israel strikes Iran’s facilities, President Trump considers joining the fight to eliminate the threat.

Key Facts:

  • IAEA Director Rafael Grossi confirmed Iran possesses enough nuclear material for several warheads.
  • Grossi stated there is no “tangible proof” that Iran is currently assembling a nuclear weapon.
  • The IAEA censured Iran on June 12 for failing to uphold its nuclear commitments.
  • Israel launched military attacks on Iranian nuclear sites shortly after the censure.
  • President Trump is considering joining Israel’s effort to neutralize Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

The Rest of The Story:

Rafael Grossi, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, told Fox News that while Iran has amassed sufficient nuclear material for several bombs, there’s no current evidence of an active weapon-building program.

“We do not have… any tangible proof that there is a program… to fabricate… a nuclear weapon,” Grossi stated.

Despite the IAEA’s inability to conduct physical inspections recently due to Israeli strikes, the agency continues monitoring via satellite imagery.

When asked whether Israel’s attacks significantly hindered Iran’s program, Grossi said, “I wouldn’t say so,” and emphasized that the technical knowledge Iran has gained over decades is hard to erase.

The IAEA censured Iran just before Israel’s military campaign began, citing Tehran’s failure to uphold transparency.

Nevertheless, Grossi suggested a diplomatic solution is still possible, noting ongoing talks with both U.S. and Iranian officials.

“We believe the opportunity should be seized,” he said.

Commentary:

Iran has been enriching uranium for years under the guise of peaceful energy development.

Israel has repeatedly warned the world this is a smokescreen for a weapons program aimed squarely at destroying Israel and threatening U.S. allies.

Now the IAEA admits Iran has stockpiled enough material for multiple bombs—yet we’re expected to believe Tehran isn’t actually building one?

Grossi’s logic is baffling.

He says Iran has all the components to make a bomb, but insists they’re not doing it—because Iran told him so.

That’s not oversight; that’s wishful thinking.

This is the same regime that just got censured for refusing to comply with inspections.

Why would anyone trust their word?

Iran has a long history of lying, sponsoring terror, and hiding military operations under civilian cover.

Hamas, their proxy in Gaza, launches missiles from schools and hospitals while hiding weapons under them.

The October 7 massacre showed what happens when radicals are left unchecked.

It’s important to remember that Iran didn’t just threaten Israel.

U.S. officials have confirmed Iran was behind a plot to assassinate President Trump.

This is not a rational actor we’re dealing with.

It’s a regime that openly calls for “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.”

The IAEA director admits military action alone won’t erase Iran’s knowledge, which is true—but irrelevant.

The point isn’t to erase knowledge; it’s to prevent execution.

That means hitting key infrastructure and sending a message of serious consequences.

Diplomacy alone has failed for decades.

Israel has every right to act in self-defense.

If it waits until Iran lights the match, it may be too late.

The idea that the world should wait and hope Iran behaves itself is reckless.

The Bottom Line:

Iran holds the materials to create several nuclear weapons and has defied international oversight.

While the IAEA claims Iran hasn’t started building a bomb, history and common sense say otherwise.

Israel is acting to protect itself—and rightly so.

The U.S. should stand with its ally and confront the threat before it’s too late.
