Massive Fraud Forces Biden Admin to Freeze Migrant Fast-Track Direct Flight Program

The Biden administration’s controversial immigration program, which flies migrants directly into the United States, has been put on pause.

This program, which allows up to 30,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter the U.S. monthly, is now on hold due to widespread fraud, according to a report from Fox News.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has stopped issuing travel authorizations for the program.

Why? An internal report found alarming levels of fraud in the application process.

Launched in late 2022 and expanded in early 2023, the program was meant to provide a “safe and orderly way to reach the United States,” according to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

However, the recent findings cast doubt on its effectiveness.

The fraud uncovered is significant.

Some social security numbers, addresses, and phone numbers were used hundreds of times across different applications.

Even more troubling, 24 of the 1,000 most used sponsor numbers belonged to dead people.

“DHS takes any abuse of its processes very seriously,” a department spokesperson said.

The numbers paint a clear picture of the problem.

Out of about 101,000 forms analyzed, over 3,200 “serial sponsors” were identified – people whose information appeared on 20 or more applications.

In one extreme case, a single phone number was used on over 2,000 forms.

Critics argue this program oversteps the administration’s congressionally granted authority.

Ira Mehlman from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) said, “This is an indication that the administration was willing to cut every corner and endanger public safety in order to bring in as many illegal aliens as they could.”

This suspension comes as the U.S. faces record-high levels of illegal immigration.

As of late 2023, about 1.6 million people were waiting for approval to enter the U.S. through this program.

Given the extent of the fraud, there’s a strong case for permanently ending this program.

The U.S. government shouldn’t be in the business of facilitating mass immigration, especially through a system so open to abuse.

Instead, efforts should focus on strengthening border security and improving legal immigration processes.

The discovery of such widespread fraud raises serious questions about the administration’s immigration policies and their impact on national security and public safety.
