In a recent MSNBC interview, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) went off the deep end with some seriously alarming claims about what might happen if former President Donald Trump wins re-election.
Her comments are less about facts and more about stirring up panic – and it’s time we called it out.
Waters didn’t hold back, painting a picture of chaos if Trump returns to office.
She said, “I’m concerned about the safety of so many people in this country, particularly people of color,” before dropping the bombshell that “thousands, maybe millions of people” could be at risk.
But here’s the kicker – she’s got zero solid evidence to back this up.
Maxine Waters said she fears for her life if Trump wins the election 🤔
Also Maxine threatening to “take Trump out tonight”
Of course she backpedaled and said she meant impeachment 🙄 really? Then why not say impeachment 🤷♀️

Let’s be real: Waters is playing a dangerous game here.

She’s basically saying Trump’s words are egging on racists to commit violence even before any votes are cast.
That’s a pretty wild leap, and it’s exactly the kind of talk that divides us further instead of bringing us together.
But wait, it gets worse. Waters went on to claim that Trump’s rhetoric, mixed with memories of January 6, would lead to “more killings.”
Hold up – is she seriously trying to pin future violence directly on Trump? That’s a massive accusation to throw around without any proof.
Sure, political leaders should talk about real concerns over public safety and protecting our democracy.
But Waters’ comments aren’t just crossing a line; they’re taking a flying leap over it.
She’s accusing Trump of threatening “blood in the streets” and civil war if he loses.
Those are heavy charges, and without solid evidence, they’re just hot air.
Maxine Waters feigning concern for the safety of all 'people of color' if Trump is elected:
"I'm very concerned, not only about my safety, and not only about the safety of members of Congress. I'm concerned about the safety of so many people in this country, particularly people… pic.twitter.com/aJgnrKMwnx— Eric Abbenante (@EricAbbenante) June 22, 2024
The irony here is thick enough to cut with a knife.
While Waters is busy slamming Trump for what she calls dangerous talk, she’s the one sounding like she’s trying to scare people half to death.
Her doom-and-gloom predictions could easily be seen as trying to rile up her own supporters.
Let’s get something straight: good political talk in a healthy democracy should be about facts, smart debates, and working for the greater good.
Waters’ rant? It misses the mark by a mile. Instead, she’s adding fuel to the fire of fear and division that most Americans are sick and tired of.
As we gear up for another election, all our leaders – no matter what party they’re from – need to watch what they say.

Making up stories about violence and threats without proof doesn’t just damage public trust; it could actually cause the very trouble they claim to be warning us about.
