New Evidence Shows Wife of Dems Beloved ‘Maryland Man’ Begged Court For Protection, I Am ‘Afraid’

A newly surfaced court recording reveals disturbing abuse allegations from the wife of deported MS-13 suspect Kilmar Abrego Garcia, raising fresh questions about Democrats’ efforts to return him to the U.S.

Key Facts:

  • An August 2020 court recording captures Jennifer Vasquez Sura describing violent abuse by Kilmar Abrego Garcia, including being slapped, grabbed by the hair, and hit in the middle of the night.
  • Sura said she was so afraid of Garcia that she once screamed for help in public and tried to file for protection, only to be pressured by his family to back off.
  • The handwritten filing by Sura stated she had photos, videos, and bruises proving Garcia’s violence.
  • Garcia, an illegal immigrant and alleged MS-13 member, is also suspected of human trafficking after a 2022 traffic stop in Tennessee.
  • Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) recently traveled to El Salvador to meet with Garcia, drawing criticism from both Republicans and Democrats.

The Rest of The Story:

In a recording from an August 2020 court hearing, Jennifer Vasquez Sura pleaded with a judge for protection from her then-partner, Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Sura alleged repeated physical abuse, including being hit during the night and dragged by her hair.

During one incident, she said she screamed for help in public, only for Garcia to assault her in front of a stunned neighbor.

Sura said she tried to obtain a restraining order earlier but was talked out of it by Garcia’s family.

In a handwritten court document, she expressed deep fear and included claims of photo and video evidence of the abuse, along with visible bruises.

These allegations, made public through a report by USA Today and documents obtained by Fox News Digital, compound the controversy already surrounding Garcia.

A 2022 Homeland Security report linked him to suspected human trafficking after a trooper discovered eight people in a vehicle he was driving across multiple states.

Commentary:

It’s astonishing that anyone—especially a sitting U.S. senator—would advocate for bringing this man back to the country.

The allegations against Garcia aren’t vague or political—they are specific, violent, and deeply disturbing.

A woman pleaded with a judge for protection, citing physical attacks, and yet Democrats like Sen. Van Hollen thought it wise to meet with him in El Salvador?

That’s a decision no sane party should defend.

In the Trump era, one consistent theme has been Democrats picking the worst possible hills to die on.

Whether it’s sanctuary cities shielding violent criminals or efforts to protect gang-affiliated illegals, the pattern continues.

The public is tired of soft treatment for illegal immigrants—especially those accused of violent crimes.

What’s worse is the complete disregard for victims like Sura or families like that of Rachel Morin, whose mother also blasted Sen. Van Hollen for being AWOL after her daughter was raped and murdered by another Salvadoran illegal immigrant.

This is political insanity.

All Democrats had to do was not defend violent, criminal aliens.

But instead, they’re flying overseas to meet them and challenging deportation rulings all the way to the Supreme Court.

The American people want order, justice, and protection.

Not loopholes, not appeasement, and certainly not taxpayer-funded trips to support violent gang suspects.

The Bottom Line:

A disturbing 2020 recording from Garcia’s wife adds new weight to the abuse allegations that have surrounded him for years.

With ties to MS-13, illegal immigration, and suspected human trafficking, Garcia is the last person lawmakers should be defending.

Yet Democrats continue to ignore victims in favor of radical immigration activism.

That choice may come back to haunt them in 2026.
