President Trump, in his usual style, just issued a warning to California Governor Gavin Newsom regarding his refusal to stop letting biological males compete in women’s and girl’s sports.
Via Truth Social:
“California, under the leadership of Radical Left Democrat Gavin Newscum, continues to ILLEGALLY allow “MEN TO PLAY IN WOMEN’S SPORTS.”
This week a transitioned Male athlete, at a major event, won “everything,” and is now qualified to compete in the “State Finals” next weekend.
As a Male, he was a less than average competitor. As a Female, this transitioned person is practically unbeatable.
THIS IS NOT FAIR, AND TOTALLY DEMEANING TO WOMEN AND GIRLS.
Please be hereby advised that large scale Federal Funding will be held back, maybe permanently, if the Executive Order on this subject matter is not adhered to.
The Governor, himself, said it is “UNFAIR.” I will speak to him today to find out which way he wants to go???
In the meantime I am ordering local authorities, if necessary, to not allow the transitioned person to compete in the State Finals. This is a totally ridiculous situation!!!”
President Trump is right about this.
First it’s not fair to allow males to compete against females, not in any sane world.
Second, the public is behind the president on this, even an overwhelming number of Democrats agree on this.
Finally, the Governor does not get to decide which federal laws he want to enforce.
The president would be right to cut off all funding to the state until lawmakers comply.
My guess is most of the residents of California would support President Trump on this.
If Democrats want to continue being insane then they should be free to do so, just without any federal funding.
We all have freedom of choice, but not freedom from consequences.
