Vice President Kamala Harris is facing increased scrutiny as questions arise about her policy achievements and leadership abilities. This comes amidst reports of high staff turnover within her office, prompting a closer examination of her readiness for higher office.
Kevin O’Leary, the chairman of O’Leary Ventures and a star of “Shark Tank,” recently shared his perspective on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime.”
O’Leary posed a challenging question about Harris’s accomplishments, stating, “What has Kamala Harris actually done, actually achieved?” He emphasized the importance of a track record for anyone aspiring to presidential viability.
The discussion around Harris’s performance has intensified due to a report suggesting a 92% staff turnover rate in her vice presidential office. This unusually high figure has raised eyebrows and led to what O’Leary describes as “buyer’s remorse” within the Democratic Party.
Adding weight to these concerns, Gil Duran, a former communications director for Harris during her time as California’s attorney general, shared his experience working with her.

Duran described the work environment as having “unbearable” levels of stress, claiming that Harris often directed this stress towards her staff. His tenure lasted only five months before he decided to quit.
The narrative around Kamala is getting very interesting. In the next two weeks, the happy talk is going to have to stop. Someone is going to sit her down and say let's talk inflation, border policy, energy policy, foreign affairs, and she will need to deliver on that. pic.twitter.com/DdRjvpQxGL

These revelations have led to broader questions about Harris’s ability to lead on a national scale. Host Jesse Watters voiced this concern directly, asking, “How could she lead millions of Americans if she can’t even lead 50?”
O’Leary drew a parallel between Harris’s situation and that of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He cautioned against prioritizing image over experience and execution skills.
“When a young Justin Trudeau swept in, nobody cared about his executional skills or what he’d ever done or anything. They just thought he was the ‘it’ guy,” O’Leary explained. He then pointed to the current state of Canada as a stark example of what can happen when a leader lacks practical experience.

Looking ahead, O’Leary predicts that Harris will face tough questions on crucial issues like inflation, border policy, energy, and foreign affairs. He suggests that for Harris to be successful, she’ll need to move towards the political center and present concrete ideas for governing the country.
“If she wants to win, she’s got to go to the center. But she’s got to have some ideas on how to run the country,” O’Leary said. “You might hate Trump, but he has this track record of policy. You might hate him. I get it. But you’ve got to do something.”
