In a recent earnings call, Palantir CEO Alex Karp delivered a scathing critique of what he perceives as the growing threat of “wokeness” to the United States and Western civilization as a whole.
The multi-billion dollar big data analytics company, known for its work with both commercial and government clients, reported strong growth for the period ending March 31, 2024, which Karp attributed in part to the company’s steadfast commitment to defending Western values.
According to Karp, Palantir’s success is rooted in its belief that “the West is a superior way to live.”
He argued that this conviction drives the company to create transformative products and attract top talent, asserting that “a Palantir degree, as it were, is much more valuable than an Ivy League degree.”
Karp criticized Ivy League institutions for embracing what he called “the thin and new woke religion,” which he characterized as “a way of organizing things so that the greatest institutions of our time disappear and turn into discriminatory dysfunction.”
Karp proudly highlighted Palantir’s continued work with the U.S. military, Department of Homeland Security, Special Forces, and intelligence agencies, despite facing criticism from some insiders who disagreed with the company’s outspoken pro-West stance.
He revealed that those who had a problem with this position “were shown the door.”

Karp went on to share his deep concern about the rise of what he termed “a regressive way of thinking that is corrupting and corroding our institutions,” which he believes “calls itself ‘progressive,’ but actually — and is called ‘woke,’ but is actually a form of a thin pagan religion.”
Karp emphasized the importance of discussing these issues, stating that failing to do so poses “a real danger to our society” and to Palantir itself.
