In a interview on CNN’s “OutFront” with Erin Burnett, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made the claim that President Joe Biden poses a more significant threat to democracy than former President Donald Trump.
Kennedy’s claim hinges on his belief that Biden has unprecedentedly wielded the power of his office to suppress political dissent and weaponize federal agencies against his critics.
According to Kennedy, “President Biden is the first candidate in history, the first president in history that has used the federal agencies to censor political speech, so to censor his opponent.”

He backed up this claim by referencing a recent victory in a federal Court of Appeals case, which he says shows that Biden began censoring him a mere 37 hours after taking office.
Kennedy further argued that Biden’s actions constitute a greater danger to democracy than questioning election results.
CNN: “When people talk about the threat to democracy that Trump poses, do you really think that is equal to Biden?”

He accused the president of forcing social media giants like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to grant access to agencies such as the FBI, CIA, IRS, CISA, and NIH, enabling them to silence political opponents.
Moreover, Kennedy alleged that Biden exploited his authority over the Secret Service to deny protection to a political rival for purely political reasons.
When Burnett sought clarification on whether Kennedy genuinely believed Biden to be a worse threat to democracy than Trump, he responded with an emphatic “Absolutely.”
Kennedy challenged listeners to consider the historical significance of a president attempting to censor political adversaries and weaponize federal agencies against them.
Kennedy’s claims paint a disturbing picture of a president abusing his power to suppress dissent and undermine the very foundations of democracy.
If true, these actions would represent an unprecedented assault on the principles of free speech and the rule of law.
