In a blatant attempt to target former President Donald Trump, House Democrats have unveiled a bill that would strip Secret Service protection from convicted felons sentenced to prison, according to a new report from Fox News.
The proposed legislation, audaciously named the “Denying Infinite Security and Government Resources Allocated toward Convicted and Extremely Dishonorable (DISGRACED) Former Protectees Act,” comes as Trump faces an onslaught of criminal charges in multiple jurisdictions.
The bill’s introduction by Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., the former chair of the now-defunct Jan. 6 congressional committee, is a clear indication of the Democrats’ desperation to prevent Trump from winning the presidency in 2024.
As stated in the accompanying “fact sheet,” the legislation aims to address the “unprecedented 91 felony charges” against Trump, which Democrats claim have “created a new exigency that Congress must address.”
However, this move is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to use lawfare to undermine Trump’s political prospects.
The Democrats, fearing they cannot defeat him at the ballot box, are resorting to underhanded tactics to ensure he is unable to run for office.

This despicable strategy is a stark reminder of the lengths to which the Democrats will go to maintain their grip on power.
The proposed bill would not only apply to Trump but also to all Secret Service protectees convicted and sentenced under felony charges.

Thompson claims that the legislation is necessary to avoid complications with incarcerating former President Trump should he be ordered to serve jail time. “Therefore, it is necessary for us to be prepared and update the law so the American people can be assured that protective status does not translate into special treatment—and that those who are sentenced to prison will indeed serve the time required of them,” Thompson said in a statement.
However, this reasoning is nothing more than a smokescreen to obscure the Democrats’ true intentions.
The bill is a blatant attempt to interfere with the judicial process and undermine the rule of law.
It is a shameful display of partisanship that threatens to erode the very foundations of our democracy.
As Trump faces trials in New York City, Georgia, Florida, and Washington D.C., it is clear that the Democrats are determined to use every tool at their disposal to prevent him from running for office again.
