Poll: Majority of Voters Believe Joe Biden is Trying to Win by Jailing Trump

In a recent survey conducted by McLaughlin & Associates, a significant majority of Americans expressed their belief that President Joe Biden is leveraging the legal system to prevent his political rival, former President Donald Trump, from winning the 2024 election.

The poll, which surveyed 1,000 likely voters between March 9 and 14, revealed that 56 percent of respondents believe Biden is attempting to imprison Trump for political gain, a tactic reminiscent of authoritarian leaders like Vladimir Putin.

The survey posed a straightforward question, presenting the fact that Trump has been indicted on 91 counts by Biden supporters and the Justice Department, and then asking respondents if they believe Biden wants to stop Trump from winning the election by incarcerating him.

An overwhelming 56 percent answered affirmatively, while only 30 percent disagreed. This sentiment was shared by both independents and moderates, with 50 percent and 48 percent agreeing, respectively.

The poll also indicated a growing public concern over the perceived misuse of the legal system to target Trump and interfere with the upcoming presidential election.

When asked if the investigations and indictments by the Biden Justice Department are being used to prevent Trump from running for president again, 52 percent agreed, up from 49 percent in July 2022.

Similarly, 58 percent of respondents agreed that Biden should stop interfering in the election via lawfare and allow voters to decide the next president, an increase from 54 percent in July.

Furthermore, the survey revealed that a majority of Americans believe there is a double standard and bias within Biden’s Department of Justice, FBI, and IRS, with 56 percent agreeing that these agencies continue to target Republicans like Trump while giving preferential treatment to Biden and his family members, despite evidence of their own wrongdoing.

The poll also found that Trump currently leads Biden by six points in the 2024 presidential race, with 49 percent support compared to Biden’s 43 percent.

Biden’s favorability and job approval ratings are both underwater, with 55 percent viewing him unfavorably and 56 percent disapproving of his performance.

Additionally, two-thirds of the country believe the nation is on the wrong track, and 63 percent think the economy is worsening.

These survey results suggest that the public is growing increasingly skeptical of the politically-driven indictments against Trump, which appear to be backfiring and potentially contributing to his improved polling numbers.
