In a recent interview with Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom, former U.S. President Donald Trump urged Israeli authorities to swiftly conclude their military offensive in the Gaza region.
Trump cautioned that global support for Israel’s campaign is waning.
“You have to finish up your war. You have to finish it up. You’ve got to get it done,” Trump stressed, emphasizing the need for a swift resolution to the conflict. He further warned, “We’ve got to get to peace. You can’t have this going on, and I will say Israel has to be very careful because you are losing a lot of the world. You are losing a lot of support.”
The Israeli offensive in Gaza was launched in response to the devastating Oct. 7 terrorist attack orchestrated by Hamas, which claimed the lives of over 1,200 Israeli citizens.
As tensions escalate, the relationship between President Biden’s administration and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government continues to deteriorate.
Netanyahu has declared his intention to proceed with an invasion of the city of Rafah, regardless of U.S. approval.

Trump expressed his disapproval of Israel’s ground offensive, stating, “That’s a terrible portrait. It’s a very bad picture for the world. I think Israel wanted to show that it’s tough, but sometimes you shouldn’t be doing that.”
Trump also harshly criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the situation, asserting that Hamas would not have carried out the Oct. 7 massacre had he been in office.
Hamas has once again rejected another ceasefire deal accepted by Israel.
To the “ceasefire now!” crowd, why aren’t you screaming? Why aren’t you protesting?
Because you don’t actually want a ceasefire!
You don’t actually care about saving Palestinian lives, you just care…

“He can’t talk. He’s a very dumb person. He’s a dumb person. His foreign policy throughout 50 years has been horrible,” Trump said of Biden. “If you look at people that were in other administrations with him, they saw him as a weak, ineffective president, they \[Hamas\] would have never done that attack if I were there.”
In our view, Trump is right to call for a swift end to the conflict, one in which Hamas is destroyed, and to criticize the Biden administration’s weak handling of the situation.
A strong U.S. stance is needed to deter terrorist attacks like the one on Oct. 7 and to bring about a lasting peace.
While the loss of Palestinian lives is tragic, Israel has a right to defend itself against such heinous attacks.

The world must unite in condemning Hamas’ actions and supporting Israel’s efforts to protect its citizens and restore stability to the region.
